Grants for Singapore Companies to Implement the ISO 14064 Standards on Greenhouse Gas Management

Under the Standards Implementation for Productivity (SIP) Project on Greenhouse Gas Management, SPRING Singapore is providing grants for Singapore registered companies and organisations to implement the ISO 14064 Standards on Greenhouse Gas Management. The SIP pilot projects are funded by SPRING to assist local industries in the implementation of standards for the manufacturing and services sectors.

The SIP Project on Greenhouse Gas Management, managed by the Singapore Manufacturers’ Federation (SMa), is to help local companies adopt the ISO 14064 series of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) standards which includes:

1) ISO 14064 Part 1:2006 – Greenhouse gases – Specification with guidance at the organisation level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals

2) ISO 14064 Part 2:2006 – Greenhouse gases – Specification with guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emission reductions or removal enhancements

3) ISO 14064 Part 3:2006 – Greenhouse gases – Specification with guidance for the validation and verification of greenhouse gas assertions

4) ISO 14065:2007 – Greenhouse gases – Requirements for greenhouse gas validation and verification bodies for use in accreditation or other forms of recognition

Companies participating in this SIP pilot project will be given grants of up to 70% of the qualifying costs based on (upon completion of the project deliverables):

  • Manpower
  • Equipment & Materials
  • Professional Services
  • Intellectual Property Rights
  • Other Project-related costs
